The terms governing use of this website and the engagement of Phra Legal's services, set out plainly and without unnecessary complexity.

Last updated: 1 May 2025

Please read these terms carefully

By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to the terms set out below. If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us before proceeding. These terms do not affect any statutory rights you may have.

1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Phra Legal website at phralegal.cyou and to any services you engage from Phra Legal. "Phra Legal", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the law practice registered at 84 Witthayu Road, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand.

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from them shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

2. Use of this website

2.1 Permitted use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only, to learn about our services, read general information about inheritance law in Thailand, and contact us with an enquiry. You may not:

  • Use the website in any way that breaches applicable Thai or international law.
  • Transmit unsolicited commercial communications.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its supporting systems.
  • Use the website to copy, reproduce, or distribute content without our written permission.
  • Introduce malicious code, viruses, or disruptive material of any kind.

2.2 Availability

We take reasonable steps to keep the website available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of technical issues. We may suspend or withdraw access to the website at any time for maintenance or other operational reasons.

2.3 Website content

The information on this website is provided for general guidance only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Legal outcomes depend on individual circumstances, and you should seek professional advice before taking action in respect of any matter.

3. Legal services engagement

3.1 How an engagement begins

An engagement for legal services begins only when both parties have agreed in writing — typically through a letter of engagement or client agreement setting out the scope of work, fees, and applicable terms. Submitting an enquiry or making initial contact does not create a legal relationship or impose any obligation on either party.

3.2 Scope of services

We will carry out the work described in your engagement letter. If the scope of your matter changes materially, we will discuss revised terms with you before proceeding. We may decline to act or continue acting in circumstances where we have professional grounds to do so.

3.3 Your responsibilities

To allow us to assist you effectively, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information relevant to your matter.
  • Respond to requests for documents or instructions in a timely manner.
  • Inform us promptly of any changes in your circumstances that may affect the matter.
  • Pay fees as agreed in your engagement letter.

We are not responsible for adverse outcomes arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by you.

3.4 Fees and payment

Our fees for each service are set out on our website and in your engagement letter. Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Fees are quoted in Thai Baht and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Payment terms will be specified in the engagement letter. Outstanding amounts may attract a late payment charge.
  • We reserve the right to pause work on a matter where payment is significantly overdue, having given reasonable notice.
  • Disbursements — such as court fees, registration charges, or third-party costs — are payable in addition to our service fees and will be communicated to you in advance wherever possible.

3.5 Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality in respect of all information you share with us in the course of an engagement. This obligation continues after the conclusion of the matter. Disclosure may occur only where required by law, a court order, or our professional regulator, or where you have provided written consent.

4. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, layout, graphics, and other materials — is the property of Phra Legal or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any part of this website without our prior written consent, except where permitted by law for personal, non-commercial use.

5. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law:

  • We do not accept liability for loss or damage arising from your reliance on general information published on this website.
  • Our liability in respect of professional services is limited to the direct loss you suffer as a result of our negligence or breach of duty, and does not extend to indirect, consequential, or unforeseeable loss.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

6. Third-party links

Our website may include links to external resources for reference. We have no control over those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. A link does not constitute endorsement.

7. Termination of engagement

Either party may terminate an engagement by providing written notice. Where we terminate an engagement, we will give you reasonable advance notice except where circumstances require otherwise (for example, where professional rules require immediate withdrawal). On termination, fees for work completed up to the date of termination remain payable. We will cooperate in an orderly handover to any new legal representative you appoint.

8. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, we ask that you raise your concern with us directly at the earliest opportunity. Please write to [email protected] or contact us by telephone on +66 2 254 87 36. We take all feedback seriously and will acknowledge your concern within five working days and aim to resolve it within thirty days.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practice, services, or applicable law. The current version will always be published on this page. For clients with an active engagement, any material changes will be communicated directly.
